Todd Hido: Intimate Distance

Intimate Distance surveys 25 years of Todd Hido’s photography, from suburban houses at night to motels, interiors, and portraits. It brings together familiar series with less widely seen work and several series presented in full. This revised and expanded edition adds photographs from more recent years.

The book moves between projects rather than separating them into self-contained sections. It includes essays by Evan Harris and an interview with Hido. Rain, artificial light, and the view from a car window recur across the suburban photographs.
