Braniff playing cards

This deck is produced by Art of Play and celebrates Braniff Airways, which began in Oklahoma City in 1927 and grew into a multinational corporation flying to more than 89 destinations. In 1965, Braniff introduced The End of the Plain Plane advertising campaign, enlisting Alexander Girard to reimagine air travel.

Girard introduced vibrant colors, lush fabrics, and mid-century modern design to 17,542 touchpoints along the Braniff International travel journey, from airplane livery to blankets to furniture to brand identity. The aim is to shape every moment flying on Braniff into a lively performance through graphic design.
